  • How to Get Your Site Indexed In Google & Other Search Engines, Quickly (I Hope) | Local SEO Guide
While there is indeed no substitute for getting links, here are a number of to-do’s that I have picked up over the years that can make a difference, in no particular order:
  • Getting Indexed | Web Design Workplace
Years ago it was a total hassle getting search engines to add your site to their index. Now, it’s so easy and there are a number of ways to bag that gold. Here is a way to do it and in the long run, this method has a lot of extra benefits. Add the website to Google WebMaster Tools, Yahoo Site Explorer, and Bing WebMaster Tools.
  • When and How Will Google Index My Website?
More information on the indexing process. Notice the importance of backlinks present in this article, too.
  • How Do I Get a Domain Indexed?
Making sure that your unused domains get indexed by Google is a good idea indeed. Why? Because indexed domains are like wine, they get better as they get older. Basically the longer your domain has been included in Google’s index (without getting penalized obviously), the higher the trust that Google will have on it. This article explains how to get these domains indexed and what kind of content to put on them if you're not really "using" them for websites.
  • How To Get Your Pages Indexed By Google
Getting your site indexed by Google when your site is a WordPress site is pretty easy. This article is about getting ALL of your pages (or at least most of them) indexed by Google, which is a gradual process, but certainly one accelerated by good SEO.
